For families with very young children, please inquire about the possibility of on-site child care.

The online registration form includes a place for you to express your lodging preference, either at the Retreat Center or at the Hampton Inn in Yorkville (about 5 miles away, 10 min drive).
At the Retreat Center
The retreat center offers two floors of dorm-style rooms, with each room having one twin bed, a desk, and small sink. Each dorm floor has one large common bath/shower facility, to be shared by all those staying on that floor. We will have a women's floor and men's floor to help ensure privacy in the use of these shared bath/shower rooms.
If a married couple desires to share a room, we can arrange for an air mattress to be used in one of the single-bed rooms like last time, but you may want to choose the hotel option instead.
There are also a few small meeting rooms (with couches/cots and attached bathroom) that can accomodate several people of the same gender, or families with nursing children.

The region has reserved a number of rooms already. DO NOT MAKE A RESERVATION YOURSELF, NOR PAY THE HOTEL! Please choose a "hotel" ticket on your registration, and we will forward the list of names to the hotel. The Region will pay for the rooms directly.
NOTE: You may chose other housing in the area, but you will be ON YOUR OWN for reservation and payment.
REGISTRATION COST
Your generous tithing to the Region, as well as savings from having a virtual Regional Gathering last year, will keep the cost low.
Staying at the Retreat Center:
Your donation includes two nights of retreat center lodging, meals, and gathering costs
Donation per person: $25
"Commuter Rate" for those sleeping at the nearby Hampton Inn hotel
Your donation includes meals and gathering costs, AS WELL AS hotel lodging.
Donation per person: $45
There is also the option to make an additional donation, if it's been awhile since you've tithed to the Region, or if you are a guest. If you're not able to afford the full amount, please contact Mike about a possible scholarship.
BASIC SCHEDULE

Apr 29Sign-in begins at 5:00pm, Welcome/Introductions at 6:30pm.
Please eat dinner before you arrive.
We do not have access to the retreat center until 5pm, so that's the earliest you can arrive.Saturday
Apr 30Sessions, fellowship, and free time, including a Vigil Mass for Sunday. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner provided. Sunday

Morning Session, Gathering ends at Noon. Breakfast and lunch provided.
** What's a "Spiritual Family Reunion"?
How sweet it is when we come as brothers and sisters from all over the Midwest to gather and spend time with one another! Unlike a personal retreat where we might come and "be served" by the retreat hosts, a family reunion requires us to serve as well: we look for ways to help and try to anticipate our brothers' and sisters' needs. Let's all put on the mindset of servants as we prepare for this gathering.
** Are children invited to this Gathering? How about my teen kids?
This is an adults-only Regional Gathering, so only nursing babies and toddlers unable to be way from parents are invited. Teenage children who are willing to participate as an adult in the activities of the gathering are welcome to join us. Teens must register and pay as individuals via the registration form.
** Can I invite guests to come?
Absolutely! We welcome guests and inquirers who may be interested in learning about BSCD and our way of life. As you prayerfully discern inviting others, please let the Registration Coordinator know as early as possible so we can keep track of how the overall headcount is looking. Please ask guests to register via the registration form.
** Will there be a virtual option to attend, e.g. a webcast, Zoom, etc?
This option is under investigation. If somone is interested in managing this aspect of the gathering, your help will be much appreciated!
** Can dietary restrictions be accomodated?
Based on past experience, Lasalle Manor has been good at accomodating Gluten Sensitive and Vegetarian diets. Beyond that, it's suggested to bring your own food to supplement what is served.
** Cancellation policy?
If you must cancel your attendance for important reasons, please let us know by Apr 16th so we can adjust the final headcount and avoid extra costs.
** How can I best prepare for this Gathering?
- Pray for the Holy Spirit to lead and guide the planning
- Take on an "attitude of gratitude" as part of your Lenten sacrifice this year, leading to the fruit of Joy!
- Look up the words "joy" or "rejoice" in an online version of the Bible, and meditate on the associated verses.
